laundry soap
laundry soap
Formulated specifically to beat tough stains, this soap is meant for really dirty clothes. It’s a very hard bar - hard enough that when wet you can rub into stains and directly on clothing. But it is also easy enough to bring anywhere for on-the-go laundry or spot treatment.
*Although safe for skin use, it is not recommended for general hand washing as it can be very drying.
About 4 oz unscented bar.

DIRECTIONS
DIRECTIONS
Spot treatment: Wet stain then rub soap vigorously on spot, letting the soap suds work into the fabric. Allow suds to sit on the stain for several minutes then launder as usual.
Hand washing clothing: Submerge clothing in a container of water or sink. Once garments are wet rub the bar into clothing and spread suds throughout. Then use gentle movements to swish the items through the sudsy water, avoid twisting actions that can stretch or damage the fabric. Continue for several minutes, the water will darken as the grime comes loose from the clothing. Rinse with clear water and dry accordingly.

Q&A
Q&A
Q: Can I add this to my washing machine?
A: When in a pinch, sure! Use a grater to grate about 1 tbsp of soap and toss that directly into the washing machine drum. We prefer to use Laundry Powder for washing machines though.
Q: Can I use this to clean other things in the laundry/mudroom?
A: Yes, we have used it to clean dirty sneakers, paintbrushes, get stains out of rugs and so much more!
Q: This bar lasts forever, any tips for using it while traveling?
A: We love to break the bar into smaller pieces, you will need a hammer for that! Give it a good whack to break into smaller chunks, those smaller pieces are great to take with you while traveling.

Update: I was able to get the patchouli smell off the soap bar by airing it out outside for 6 hours.
The soap is fine, but this product shouldn't be labeled as unscented. It smells very strongly of patchouli and essential oils. Maybe fragrances weren't added directly, but the packaging, bar and box all have a strong fragrance. I'm hopeful the fragrance comes off with the first use of the bar. But, my nostrils and eyes are burning from the heavy patchouli smell and my hands have also picked up the smell from just handling the bars. A lot of people need unscented products due to medical issues, such as allergies and scent sensitivity. Essential oils are very common irritants for those with said conditions. When I purchase an unscented product, I expect it to not have any fragrances when I open it. Please be more careful with how you store and pack your products. I don't like leaving negative reviews for small businesses, but other customers with health conditions needed to be warned.
Hi Alix,
I'm so sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the product's scent. I do hope that once you got the scent to dissipate you found the product itself worked well for you.
We do our best to keep the unscented products away from any inventory that contains essential oils - but you are right, they are all made in the same facility and stored in the same location so picking up a slight scent is unavoidable.
I'll be reaching out shortly to see what we can do to make it right, again apologies for any confusion and frustration that the scent caused!
